Indus Shield-Chinese Module of Exercise Indus Shield 2024 Concludes Successfully.

ISLAMABAD: Indus Shield-Chinese, a bilateral module of Exercise Indus Shield 2024 conducted between the Chinese and Pakistan Air Forces, has successfully concluded at an operational air base of the Pakistan Air Force. The exercise marked a significant engagement between the two air forces, showcasing advanced military collaboration and strategic capabilities.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the exercise featured the participation of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) of China, which deployed personnel and high-tech equipment. The equipment included AESA Radar and Long Range BVR Equipped J-16 and J-10C fighter aircraft, the lethal HQ-22 Surface to Air Defence system, the potent Airborne Electronic Warfare YTG-9 Platform, and the KJ-500 Airborne Early Warning system. These advanced technologies were pitched against the Pakistan Air Force’s J-10C and JF-17 Block-III fighter jets in simulations of contemporary aerial combat scenarios.

The successful execution of this large-scale exercise underscores the Pakistan Air Force’s joint operational readiness with allied nations, addressing contemporary security challenges effectively. The exercise aimed to validate the interoperability between China and Pakistan, focusing on contemporary air combat challenges and simulating various military tactics. By creating a near-realistic multi-domain operations training environment, Indus Shield-Chinese has maximized the warfighting potential of both participating air forces.
