Info Minister Felicitates Newly-Elected CPNE Office-Bearers

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has felicitated the newly elected office-bearers of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors. In a statement, he expressed the hope that the new leadership would play an active role in addressing challenges faced by the media.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Information Minister highlighted that journalism remains a key pillar of a democratic society and responsible journalism plays a vital role in raising public awareness. He stressed the need for improved coordination between the media and state institutions, terming it essential for safeguarding national interests.

The Information Minister congratulated CPNE President Kazim Khan, Secretary General Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Senior Vice President Ayaz Khan, Vice Presidents Shakeel Ahmed Turabi and Anwar Sajidi, Secretary Information Munazza Seham, and other newly elected members.
