Interior Minister Commends Sindh Rangers’ Efforts in Karachi

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the Sindh Rangers Headquarters in Karachi, where he was welcomed by DG Rangers (Sindh) Major General Muhammad Shamraiz. During his visit, Naqvi honored the martyrs at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada monument and participated in prayers for national unity and peace.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, Naqvi led a high-level meeting attended by Major General Shamraiz and other senior officials. The meeting included a briefing on the Sindh Rangers’ operational activities, highlighting anti-smuggling efforts and the current law and order situation in Karachi. From January 2025 to the present, 724 operations have taken place, resulting in 1133 arrests and the seizure of 660 kilograms of narcotics.

Naqvi praised the Sindh Rangers for their contributions to counter-terrorism, reducing street crime, and addressing smuggling issues. He emphasized the need to intensify efforts against smuggling to support economic stability and assured that the Sindh Rangers’ operational needs would be met.
