Interior Minister Engages in Strategic Talks with Acting US Ambassador

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker in Islamabad. The discussions focused on Pakistan-US relations, mutual interests, and enhancing bilateral cooperation.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the meeting also reviewed the Interior Minister’s recent visit to the US, where he engaged with US Congress members. Discussions during the visit included strategies against terrorism and strengthening bilateral relations.

Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that terrorism is an international issue requiring global collaboration. He emphasized the longstanding and robust relations between Pakistan and the United States. The Interior Minister noted that US support in building the capacity of Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies is crucial.

Naqvi expressed optimism about strengthening Pakistan-US relations during President Donald Trump’s tenure. Additionally, he invited Acting US Ambassador Baker to attend the Jashn-e-Baharan (Spring Festival) in Islamabad.
