Interior Minister inaugurates new FIA’s BMS in Islamabad

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has inaugurated the new integrated Border Management System of Federal Investigation Agency in Islamabad, to enhance capacity building of the agency.

It was informed on the occasion that this system would be available at all immigration check posts to verify passports and Pakistani visas.

The new system will enable instant identification of documents and persons. It was informed that the document reading system would be further improved through optical character recognition.

The system is fully integrated with other agencies, including NADRA, Directorate of Passport and Immigration, FBR and Police.
