Int’l Day Commemorating The Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion observed

International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief was observed today.

The day designated by the United Nations for States is to step up their efforts to combat intolerance, discrimination and violence against persons based on religion or belief.

Meanwhile, In a statement, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz condemned violence based on religious beliefs.

She said violence targeting individuals due to their beliefs is unacceptable and must be strongly condemned.
