New york: International Day for Countering Hate Speech is being observed today.

According to Radio Pakistan, in July 2021, the UN General Assembly expressed global concerns regarding the rapid spread and increase of hate speech worldwide. In response, the assembly adopted a resolution focused on promoting inter-religious and intercultural dialogue and tolerance as a means of countering hate speech.
