Int’l Day for People of African Descent being observed today

International Day for People of African Descent is being observed today.

This day was created by the United Nations to celebrate the diverse heritage and several contributions of people of African descent.

Through this Observance, the United Nations aimed to promote the extraordinary contributions of the African diaspora around the world and to eliminate all forms of discrimination against people of African descent.
