IOC and TCL Forge Decade-Long Partnership to Enhance Olympic Experience

Beijing: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and technology company TCL have announced a long-term partnership extending to 2032, aimed at enhancing the experience of the Olympic and Paralympic Games for fans and athletes. TCL will provide digital displays and household appliances, supporting the IOC’s Olympic AI Agenda and the “Athlete Moments” initiative.

The partnership, unveiled at the “Water Cube” in Beijing, promises innovative marketing campaigns to engage billions of fans globally. Revenue from the agreement will be redistributed by the IOC to support sports organizations worldwide, including National Olympic Committees and Organizing Committees for future Olympic Games.

IOC President Thomas Bach expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, recognizing TCL’s commitment to inspiring greatness. Li Dongsheng, TCL’s Founder and Chairman, highlighted the alignment of TCL’s technological advancements with the Olympic spirit and sustainable development goals.

TCL’s role will include providing smart displays, appliances, and other technologies to create exceptional visual and lifestyle experiences at the Games. With a global presence in over 160 countries, TCL is positioned to support the Olympic movement through its technological innovations.

Jirí Kejval, Chair of the IOC Revenues and Commercial Partnerships Commission, noted the significance of this partnership as part of the TOP Programme, which offers brands a platform leveraging the global reach of the Olympic Games. The collaboration marks TCL’s entry into the family of TOP Partners, reinforcing its status as a leader in the technology industry.
