Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase on Tuesday, reflecting a broader trend in the international market. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price for one tola of 24 karat gold rose by Rs. 5,900, bringing it to Rs. 363,700. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs. 5,059, reaching Rs. 311,814.
The rise in domestic gold prices aligns with an upward shift in the international market, where gold saw an increase of $59, setting the price at $3,454. The 10 grams of 22 karat gold also experienced a rise, going up by Rs. 4,637 to reach Rs. 285,839.
While gold prices shifted notably, silver rates remained stable both domestically and internationally. The price for one tola of 24 karat silver held steady at Rs. 3,441, with 10 grams maintaining a price of Rs. 2,950. On the international front, silver prices stayed unchanged at $32.77.
These fluctuations in gold prices underscore the ongoing volatility in the precious metals market, influenced by various global economic factors.
