Srinagar, March 13, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and cattle besides property caused by avalanches in Kulgam.
The Jamaat spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed sympathy and solidarity with the family members of those died in the rains and snowfall as their houses were collapsed and those who lost their property.
He said that a delegation of Jamaat along with party workers visited the affected area and took the injured persons to the hospital where they were provided first aid.
The spokesman criticized the puppet administration of the territory for ignoring the victims. He said that the load-shedding and closure of Srinagar-Jammu High had caused hoarding which had lad increased the miseries of the Kashmiri people.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM), Firdous Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed solidarity with the relatives of those who killed in the avalanches and prayed for early recovery of the injured persons.
