Islamabad: Iran has expressed approval of Pakistan’s position regarding the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon. This endorsement came during a meeting between Major General Dr. Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting took place in Islamabad and underscored the deep-rooted and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran. Both leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing trade and economic ties to benefit both nations.
The discussions also addressed the mutual challenge of terrorism, with both countries acknowledging the need for effective and coordinated measures.
Major General Bagheri took the opportunity to commend Pakistan for its stance on the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon, recognizing Pakistan’s position in these regional issues.
