Prime Minister Calls for Modern Hotels to Boost Pakistan’s Tourism

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the construction of modern hotels in Pakistan, aiming to bolster tourism and enhance facilities for international conferences. This directive comes amid the successful hosting of international events in the country, which Sharif views as a diplomatic achievement.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister chaired a review meeting focused on the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad. During this meeting, he praised the CDA for its role in organizing recent international conferences and stressed the importance of improving infrastructure, such as hotels and hospitals, to support such events.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the development of modern facilities would not only improve the experience of international guests but also promote tourism across Pakistan. He instructed the CDA to prepare a comprehensive report on constructing new hotels with state-of-the-art facilities, suggesting a joint venture and public-private partnership approach.

The Prime Minister also called for ensuring world-class amenities for guests from friendly countries, reflecting restored confidence through Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts. Additionally, he urged the CDA to enhance services for Islamabad residents.

During the session, it was revealed that pre-feasibility reports for new hotel constructions and the restoration of inactive government buildings have been prepared, indicating progress towards these infrastructural goals.
