Iranian Interior Minister Meets Pakistani Leaders in Islamabad

Islamabad: Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, accompanied by a high-level delegation, has arrived in Islamabad to engage in discussions with key Pakistani leaders. Upon arrival, he was warmly received at the airport by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The welcoming ceremony included Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry presenting a bouquet to the visiting dignitary.

According to Radio Pakistan, the visit includes meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. In a significant development, Eskandar Momeni held talks with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, where both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.

Welcoming Momeni, Naqvi expressed optimism about the outcomes of the visit, hoping that the Iranian minister had brought favorable news. Momeni, in his remarks, highlighted the exemplary nature of the relationship between Iran and Pakistan, expressing gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Pakistani government and its people. The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, was also in attendance during the discussions.
