Iranian Military Chief Meets Pakistan’s Army Head to Discuss Regional Security

RAWALPINDI: Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, visited the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, where he met with General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan. The meeting focused on regional security and defense cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations, the discussions between the military leaders covered the prevailing security environment in the region. The talks also centered on strengthening bilateral defense relations.

During his visit, Major General Bagheri paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs by laying a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada. He was received with military honors, including a guard of honor by a contingent of the Pakistan Army.

This engagement underscores the ongoing military and diplomatic interactions between Iran and Pakistan, highlighting their mutual interest in addressing regional security challenges.
