ISLAMABAD: The 11th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and the Netherlands took place in Islamabad, with representatives from both nations engaging in discussions on a variety of bilateral, regional, and global issues.
According to a statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was led by Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Ms. Amna Baloch, and Mr. Christiaan Rebergen, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The dialogue highlighted the positive momentum in the bilateral relationship and emphasized ongoing collaboration in several areas, including political, economic, trade and investment, climate change, agriculture, and education.
The Foreign Secretary underscored the importance of strengthening trade and economic relations, acknowledging the Netherlands as a significant trading partner. She encouraged increased Dutch investment in Pakistan to bolster mutual economic interests.
Both parties also addressed the pressing issue of climate change, agreeing to maintain close contact to further enhance bilateral relations. The discussions concluded with a mutual commitment to continue engaging in these areas to foster stronger ties between the two nations.
