According to Radio Pakistan, the collaboration between Pakistan and Iraq for military training has a long history, dating back to 1955. This agreement allows the Pakistan Army to train Iraqi Special Forces personnel upon the request of the Iraq Army. The NCTC in Pabbi, known for its state-of-the-art facilities, will continue to host and train more Iraqi personnel in the future.

Pakistani military institutions are actively contributing to counter-terrorism training and are instrumental in enhancing security cooperation across the region.
