Islamabad Airport Outsourcing Highlights Government’s Transparency Agenda

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the government’s commitment to transparency in the outsourcing of commercial operations at Islamabad International Airport. This announcement came during a meeting in Lahore with representatives from Istanbul Grand Airport, prior to his departure to Saudi Arabia.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif discussed the broader strategy of enhancing passenger facilities at major airports in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, as part of Pakistan’s move toward economic prosperity and increased reliance on public-private partnerships. He highlighted the significant investment potential within the urban development sector of Pakistan.

Sharif also extended a warm invitation to global businessmen and investors, specifically acknowledging the opportunities for increased investment and partnership with Turkey. He underscored the current period as an optimal time for fostering business relationships between Pakistan and Turkey, reflecting the government’s proactive approach to international collaboration and economic development.
