Islamabad Celebrates Cosmonautics Day with Cultural Events and Tributes

Islamabad, Today marked the celebration of Cosmonautics Day in Russia, commemorating the anniversary of the first human space flight by Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961. The event was celebrated with enthusiasm at the Russian Embassy School in Pakistan, featuring a range of cultural activities.

According to Embassy of The Russian Federation, the festivities included a concert by students and teachers, showcasing songs and poems inspired by space exploration. Attendees also enjoyed a photo exhibition and an animated film about space, produced by the school’s second-grade students. Adding to the occasion, Alexander Misurkin, a Hero of the Russian Federation and cosmonaut, extended his congratulations to the Embassy staff and participants, highlighting the significance of the day in promoting scientific curiosity and achievement among the younger generation.

The event underscores the ongoing cultural exchange and educational collaboration between Russia and Pakistan, fostering mutual appreciation for significant historical milestones in science and exploration.
