IT Minister Vows to Ensure Citizen-Centric Digital Ecosystem

Islamabad: Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure a secure, inclusive, and citizen-centric digital ecosystem. She was speaking to a delegation from Meta in Islamabad to discuss strengthening cooperation on digital safety, technology governance, and user protection across Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, both sides reviewed measures to prevent online fraud and financial scams occurring through social media platforms. The meeting emphasized the importance of creating a safe digital environment, highlighting the need for effective strategies to combat online threats.

Shaza Fatima Khawaja reaffirmed the Ministry’s resolve to collaborate with global technology partners like Meta to ensure a safe, trusted, and innovation-friendly digital environment for all Pakistanis. The discussions aimed at bolstering digital safety measures and fostering a technology-driven economy.
