Italian Navy Carrier Strike Group Docks in Karachi for Three-Day Visit

Karachi: The Italian Navy Carrier Strike Group, including the Aircraft Carrier ITS CAVOUR and Frigate ITS ALPINO, has arrived in Karachi for a three-day visit, marking a significant moment in naval diplomacy and cooperation between Italy and Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the arrival of the Italian naval vessels was marked by a ceremonial reception attended by senior Pakistan Navy officials and the Ambassador of Italy, Marilina Armellin. During their visit, an Italian delegation led by Ambassador Armellin met with Commander Pakistan Fleet, Rear Admiral Abdul Munib. The discussions focused on enhancing interoperability and exploring further avenues for bilateral maritime security cooperation and defense relations.
