Quetta Jirga Focuses on Coal Mine Security and Counterterrorism

Quetta: In response to a recent violent incident, a significant jirga was convened at the camp of FC-87 Wing, led by Brigadier Naveed Qalb Abbas, to discuss the security of the coal mining industry and strategies to combat terrorism.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the jirga included FC-87 Wing Commander Colonel Muhammad Hanif, local dignitaries, coal mine owners, contractors, and representatives from labor federations. Participants offered various suggestions for enhancing the protection of coal mines and expressed solidarity with the Frontier Corps in their efforts to counter terrorism. Brigadier Abbas emphasized the need for unity and collective action, vowing to take decisive measures against the perpetrators and to prevent the loss of innocent lives in future attacks.
