Gwadar Launches Mosquito Spray Campaign to Combat Dengue

Gwadar: A new mosquito control initiative has been launched in Ormara, Gwadar, aimed at curbing the spread of dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases. The campaign, supported by Deputy Commissioner Hamoud-ur-Rehman, involves collaboration between the Health Department Gwadar and the Municipal Committee Ormara.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, District Health Officer Dr. Abdul Wahid Baloch announced that the spraying effort is designed to ensure a healthier and safer environment for the residents of Ormara. The campaign is part of a broader strategy to enhance disease prevention and raise public awareness about the risks of infectious diseases. Dr. Baloch detailed plans for expanding the campaign to Jiwani Tehsil and other parts of the Gwadar district in phases, underlining the administration’s commitment to safeguarding public health.
