Jahangir Tarin, Siraj-ul-Haq resign as party heads

Amir Jammat-i-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq has announced to quit from his office over dismal performance of party in general elections.

Siraj-ul-Haq in a social media post on X said today that the party made energetic efforts in the election but could not achieve desired results.

Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party chief Jahangir Tareen has also announced to step down from his position as chairman as well as active politics.

In a post on X, he said he will continue to serve the country in a private capacity.
