Japanese Ambassador calls on Governor Sindh

Karachi, February 24, 2018 (PPI-OT): Governor Sindh Mr.Mohammed Zubair has said that Pakistan Japan relations are growing with every passing day as the same are based on mutual trust and respect for each other. This he said while talking with Mr.Takashi Kurai, Ambassador of Japan at Governor House here today. Matters pertaining to further expansion in relations between two Countries, measures to enhance trade, conducive atmosphere for investment in Karachi were discussed during the meeting.

Governor Sindh said that there was an urgent need to further expand trade ties as trade plays a vital role in sustainable growth of economy, he added. He said that CPEC was an unprecedented project owing to its enormous size in terms of investment. This great symbol of Pak-China relations is bound to revamp the economy of Pakistan and to also benefit China in its economic activities.

He lauded the role of Japan for promotion of social sector in Pakistan and said that Japanese assistance has helped specially health and education sectors to grow and perform better. Governor Sindh said that Japanese investor must capitalize on conducive atmosphere of investment in Karachi and setup more industrial units here. Japanese Ambassador Mr. Takashi Kurai said that Pakistan is a trusted friend of Japan and we value its friendship a lot. Japanese companies are evaluating the opportunities for setting up new units here, he concluded.
