JKLF continues election boycott campaign

Srinagar, November 20, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) is continuing its election boycott campaign as various JKLF delegations led by Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Sheikh Abdul Rashid and M.S Shah, today, visited Ganderbal, Kangan, Badgam and Chadoora asking people to stay away from upcoming farce elections. During today’s campaign police cordoned the delegation and arrested JKLF activist, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani of Koreg Ganderbal.

The JKLF leaders conducted door-to-door visit to apprise people of the ill-consequences of the sham elections.

Speaking to the people on the occasion, the JKLF leaders said that the only purpose of the elections was to strengthen the illegal occupation of India over Kashmir to provide its killer forces a legal and constitutional cover.

They said that soon after the announcement of the farce elections, Indian authorities and their Kashmiri stooges started a crackdown on peaceful political resistance leaders and activists.

Condemning the strict restrictions on ailing JKLF Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik in Soura hospital, leaders said that
Yasin Malik was being tortured mentally at Soura hospital and nobody was allowed to meet him.

They demanded immediate release of party Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and other Hurriyet leaders.
