JKPFL holds anti-India rally in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad, August 19, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League (JKPFL) held a big rally in Muzaffarabad, today, against India’s bifurcating the occupied Jammu and Kashmir and imposing curfew and lockdown with large scale arrests.

A large number of women and children joined the protest with black and green flags, chanting high-pitched slogans for freedom and demanding revocation of black laws which annexed the Jammu and Kashmir. Women speakers and some school children also spoke against Modi’s new onslaught laws to curb unity and integrity of the occupied region of Jammu and Kashmir.

The JKPFL Chairman, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani addressing the protest rally strongly condemned India’s new draconian law, military crackdown, curfew and lockdown on Jammu and Kashmir and held India responsible for abduction of children and large scale arrests.

He said that by violating the United Nations Security Council resolutions, UN Charter, internal pledges and agreements, India was going to thrust war on Pakistan besides crimes against humanity in Kashmir. He stated that by such actions India was mocking at his own pacts with Pakistan and threatening ceasefire peace and hindering nuclear peace.

He urged the Security Council to hold regular formal meetings on Kashmir situation, make India answerable before the World Body and adopt resolutions to implement UN decisions on the territory and revoke India’s new laws on Jammu and Kashmir with immediate steps.
