JKSDMI Appeals to UK for Kashmir Rights

London: The Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) has submitted a memorandum to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, urging the United Kingdom to prioritize the Kashmir issue. The memorandum, titled “Kashmir Petition,” calls for international attention to human rights concerns in the region.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the memorandum was delivered at Downing Street by representatives including the Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Kashmir Group. The petition appeals for the British government to address the Kashmir dispute with the same urgency as other human rights matters.

The document outlines allegations of human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir, demanding an international inquiry into these incidents. It urges that the Kashmir issue be brought before the United Nations Security Council and other global forums.

JKSDMI officials, supported by Friends of Kashmir members in the British Parliament, have reiterated their determination to continue advocating for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and to highlight ongoing human rights challenges in the region.
