Junaid Announces Pakistan Maritime Energy City Plan

Islamabad: Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, has announced plans to establish the Pakistan Maritime Energy City as part of a broader strategy to expand Pakistan’s economic footprint. This initiative aims to enhance the country’s maritime capabilities and economic growth by developing new infrastructure along its coastline.

According to Radio Pakistan, the announcement was made during a meeting chaired by the Minister in Islamabad. The meeting focused on reviewing potential sites for the development of three to four new ports. As part of this initiative, a 12-member multi-agency committee has been constituted to identify suitable locations for these new deep-sea ports and the necessary associated infrastructure.
