Karachi, December 02, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Karachi Club have agreed to strengthen cooperation and further enhance the friendly ties between the two organizations.
Talking to a delegation of Karachi Club led by its President Ashfaq Yousuf Tola during their visit to KCCI, President KCCI, Abdullah Zaki, while extending full support to Karachi Club, stressed the need for further strengthening ties between the two organizations.
Besides President KCCI, Abdullah Zaki, the meeting was also attended by Senior Vice President KCCI, Muffasar A. Malik, Vice President KCCI, Muhammad Idrees and other KCCI Managing Committee members whereas the Karachi Club was represented by its President Ashfaq Yousuf Tola, Honorary Secretary Jawed H. Karim, Ayub Bawany and others.
On the occasion, President KCCI, Abdullah Zaki also highlighted the functioning of KCCI and its membership base which has risen to more than 19,000 members whereas more than 50,000 indirect members are also affiliated with the chamber through seven KCCI affiliated trade bodies of Karachi city.
He said that KCCI has been vociferously raising its voice and taking up these issues with Federal Board of Revenue and various ministers to resolve the hardships being faced by the business community.
He also appreciated the support and cooperation extended by Ashfaq Tola to KCCI in effectively dealing with various tax issues being faced by KCCI and its members. President KCCI hoped that Ashfaq Tola will continue extend similar support to the chamber in future as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashfaq Tola appreciated the leadership of Businessmen Group including its Chairman Siraj Kassam Teli and Vice Chairmen, Tahir Khaliq, Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooki and Anjum Nisar for electing Abdullah Zaki as President KCCI and his team comprising Muffasar Malik, Senior Vice President and Muhammad Idrees Vice President. Highlighting the services being rendered by KCCI Office Bearers, he noted that within a short span of just two months, all office bearers have earned extraordinary recognition due to their untiring and sincere efforts for resolving the issues being faced by the business community.
