Kashmir to remain a dispute if not resolved for 1000 yrs: Prof Butt

Srinagar, May 20, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt has said that it is a reality that Jammu and Kashmir is a dispute and will continue to remain a dispute if remains unresolved for even one thousand years.

Professor Abdul Ghani Butt while addressing a function in Srinagar said that it was Indian leadership that took this issue to the United Nations. He said that the Kashmiris would never forget the tyrant and the oppressor.

Professor Butt said that the Kashmiris would fight to safeguard their future. “Dialogue is the weapon which we have to use,” he added.

He said that the Kashmiris are masters of their land. He asked Pakistan and India to hold talks on Kashmir saying that if the two countries wanted peace in South Asia, Kashmir issue had to be resolved.

Senior APHC leader said that participation of Kashmiri people in the dialogue process was inevitable. “Over the past 66 years, bilateral talks have yielded nothing,” he said.

Professor Butt also condemned the puppet administration for putting the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, under house-arrest. “Such moves won’t deter our resolve,” he added.
