Kashmiri delegation meets Syed Fakhar Imam in Islamabad

Islamabad, June 19, 2019 (PPI-OT): A delegation of Kashmiri leaders met Chairman Parliamentary Special Committee on Kashmir, Syed Fakhar Imam at the latter’s office in the Parliament, today. The delegation comprised President Tehreek-e-Kashmir United Kingdom (Tek UK), Raja Fahim Kayani, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Altaf Ahmad Bhat, Secretary Information APHC-AJK, Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Mushtaq Ahmad and Sardar Azeem.

The delegation led by Raja Fahim Kayani, briefed Fakhar Imam about the current situation of occupied Kashmir. It also updated him about British Pakistani and Kashmiri organisations working for the Kashmir cause in Europe and the UK.

Syed Fakhar Imam while hailing the role of Pakistanis and Kashmiris settled in the UK said that Pakistan would continue to extend its diplomatic, political and moral support to the Kashmiri people struggling to get their right to self-determination. He urged India to shun its intransigence and fulfill its promises made to the people of occupied Kashmir. He said that the UN should wake up and play its role to implement its resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir so that people be given their right to decide their future through referendum.
