Former Mayor of Malegaon Wounded in Shooting Incident

Nashik, Former Mayor Abdul Malik of Malegaon was shot at early Monday morning near a petrol station in Maharashtra’s Nashik district, in what appears to be a targeted attack. The assailants escaped, leaving Malik wounded but in stable condition.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the attack on Malik occurred at approximately 1:20 am while he was outside a shop on Old Agra Road. Two individuals on a motorbike approached and fired three shots, striking Malik in the chest and leg. He was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where he is currently recovering and reported to be in stable condition.

The incident has prompted an investigation, with local police seeking to identify and apprehend the two assailants. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but the incident has heightened concerns about the safety of public figures in the region.
