Kashmiris Await Implementation of UN Resolutions on Anniversary of UN’s Founding

Srinagar: As the United Nations Day was observed across the globe on Friday, Kashmiris continue to await the implementation of the United Nations resolutions, calling for a plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Radio Pakistan, a report released by the Kashmir Media Service highlighted that as the UN marks the 80th anniversary of its founding, India continues to defy Security Council resolutions on Kashmir. The report emphasized that United Nations Day serves as another reminder that the Kashmir dispute remains unresolved despite being on the UN agenda for over seven decades.

It further emphasized that this occasion should be used to reaffirm unwavering support for the people of Kashmir in their just struggle. The report underlined the United Nations resolutions that reaffirm Kashmiris’ right for a free and fair referendum and stated that the UN is duty-bound to fulfill its responsibilities regarding Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
