Kashmiris reject Indian occupation: Yasmeen Raja

Srinagar, June 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader, Yasmeen Raja has said that observing strike on the Indian prime minister’s Kashmir visit on Tuesday is aimed at conveying a message to the international community that the people of Kashmir reject the illegal occupation of the territory by India.

Yasmeen Raja in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian troops were committing massive human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and were using the molestation of women as a weapon of war to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission.

She deplored that the Supreme Court of India had awarded death sentence to Muhammad Afzal Guru only to satisfy the collective conscience of the Indian people. She reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the ongoing liberation struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.
