Kashmiris’ Struggle for Freedom to Succeed, Says Pakistani Minister

Islamabad: Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, paid tribute to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, emphasizing their relentless pursuit of self-determination as per United Nations Security Council resolutions.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Iqbal, in a special message for Kashmir Solidarity Day, asserted that the liberation of Kashmir from Indian rule is an undeniable truth. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s just cause.

Ahsan Iqbal highlighted Pakistan’s national commitment to stand in solidarity with its Kashmiri neighbors, who continue their struggle for self-determination in line with UNSC resolutions. He described the Kashmiri people’s effort as an unprecedented and historic fight for freedom.

He expressed confidence that the aspirations of the Kashmiri people would be fulfilled, noting that their sacrifices keep the vision of freedom alive. “I am confident that the day will come when their dreams will be realized,” he said.

On Kashmir Solidarity Day, Iqbal acknowledged the immense sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people, who have faced over 75 years of Indian oppression. Their patience, courage, and resilience are expected to be remembered as significant historical contributions.

The minister assured the people of occupied Kashmir that Pakistan would continue to provide full support on diplomatic, political, and moral platforms in their quest for self-determination, maintaining its principled stance on the issue.
