‘Kashmiris to continue struggle till they achieve right to self-determination’

Luton, July 14, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prominent Kashmiri intellectual and President of Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD), Dr Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum, has said that the Kashmiris will continue their struggle till they achieve their right to self-determination. He was speaking during a dinner hosted in Luton, UK, in his honour by the President of Pakistan Muslim League (Qayoom) Azad Kashmir and prominent Kashmiri leader, Chaudhry Jahangir Khan Pothi. He said the Kashmiris have paid a heavy price for their freedom and sacrificed three generations. The atrocities and brutality of the Indian Army and government could not create any obstacle in their way, he said.

Sardar Tahir Tabassum said the lives of Yasin Malik and Shabbir Ahmad Shah and other illegally detained Hurriyat leaders are in danger. He said, the United Nations and other international organizations should play their role to ensure the safety of these prisoners and also put pressure on India to end its atrocities on the Kashmiris. Chaudhry Jahangir Pothi expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded immediate and unconditional release of all Kashmiris including Hurriyat leaders and activists.
