KP Govt Announces Comprehensive Compensation Package for Flood Victims

Khyber pakhtunkhwa: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has announced a compensation package for flood-affected people in the province.

According to Radio Pakistan, the package includes the approval of two million rupees compensation for families of those who died in the floods and five hundred thousand rupees each for the injured. Additionally, one billion rupees have been approved for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) under the “Food Stamp” scheme to provide 15,000 rupees per affected family. A special martyr’s package has also been announced for the crew who were killed in a helicopter crash during Bajaur air relief operations.

Moreover, the government has approved a 180.3 million rupees special package for police martyrs’ families and injured personnel. Furthermore, a supplementary grant of twenty billion rupees has been allocated to complete ongoing development schemes and restore damaged infrastructure.
