Kuwait, NDMA to collaborate for disaster mitigation

Islamabad, May 04, 2023 (PPI-OT): Kuwait has agreed to collaborate with National Disaster Management Authority for disaster mitigation in Pakistan. The understanding was reached during a meeting between Kuwait’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nassar Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi and Chairman NDMA, Lt General Inam Haider Malik in Islamabad.

The two sides agreed to formulate strategies for participative investment in pre-disaster planning and management, to reduce loss of human lives and infrastructure. The Chairman NDMA expressed his gratitude to the government of Kuwait and diplomatic team in Pakistan, for the generous support during last year’s floods in the country.
