Cholpon-ata: A formal welcome ceremony was held in honour of President Asif Ali Zardari in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz President personally welcomed President Zardari upon his arrival at the ceremony.
According to Radio Pakistan, the event featured the playing of the national anthems of both Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan. President Zardari was presented with a guard of honour by a contingent of the Kyrgyz armed forces, which he subsequently inspected.
Following the ceremonial proceedings, the two leaders took the opportunity to introduce their respective delegations to each other, marking the commencement of their official engagements.
