Labour Day was observed in Skardu for expressing solidarity with workers and laborers on Tuesday.
A rally was taken out from main bazaar Skardu to Yaadgar-e-Shuhdaa where prominent figures of civil society, lawyers, scholars and leaders of worker unions address the rally and highlighted the problems of labourers and workers.
Addressing on the occasion leader of Mazdoor Union, Ghulam Muhammad demanded for better health and education facilities for labourers and their families.
He also demanded the government to ensure the basic rights of labourers according to the International Labour Laws.
