Lahore, September 20, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has extended full support to the government’s call for Yom-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH) and will remain closed on Friday (September 21).
In a statement issued here, the LCCI President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Senior Vice President Kashif Younis Meher, Vice President Saeeda Nazar and Executive Committee members also appealed to the businessmen not to open their business to register their anger and protest against the blasphemous movie.
The LCCI office-bearers said that not only business community but the whole nation was united in the love for Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) issue and will not tolerate any such attempt.
“Blasphemous movie is a conspiracy against the personality of our Holy Prophet (PBUH) and we strongly condemn its contents. Expressing disrespect over belief of other is not allowed in any religion and such incidents cause hatred and destruction in society”, they added.
