Lahore University of Management Sciences commitment to United Nations Global Compact

Karachi, July 26 2013 (PPI-OT): “Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) proud initiative to join the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is deeply backed by its commitment to implement and promote UNGC Principles in latter and spirit within LUMS and its area of influence”, this was stated by Dr. Sohail Naqvi, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of LUMS who was signing the UN Global Compact Charter to mark the event of LUMS joining the UNGC.

Mr. Fasihl Karim Siddiqi, Secretary Global Compact Network Pakistan, who was also present on the occasion, discussed at length with the Vice Chancellor, the post-joining plans of action for LUMS and the role of LUMS in embracing, implementing, and promoting the UNGC Principles and PRME in Pakistan. Ms. Maliha Malik; Steering Committee member GCNP and Mr. Aurangzeb Hanif of International Alert also joined the meeting.
