Karachi, July 07, 2020 (PPI-OT): Lucky Cement Limited joined hands with the Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Emergency Rashan Programme/Scheme to provide ration to those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak across Pakistan.
In this regard, a MoU was signed at the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) headquarters in Islamabad. On this occasion, The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan also appreciated the efforts of Lucky Cement Limited and other companies that have come forward for this noble initiative.
The Ehsaas Emergency Rashan Programme/Scheme offers a donor-beneficiary linking system for ration distribution. It has been set up to enable the private sector and civil society organizations to reach the most vulnerable deserving beneficiaries and provide them food packs or cash equivalent in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. Through this portal, the role of government will be to facilitate linking of donors and beneficiaries and provide data of eligible beneficiaries to donors.
On this occasion the management of Lucky Cement Limited highlighted that since the outbreak, the Company is at the forefront of providing support to the marginalized communities of Pakistan. Earlier, 8,000 ration bags were distributed amongst the affected families in the rural areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh. And now the Company is further expanding its muscle to support more deserving families across Pakistan.
