Karachi: Lucky Investments Limited, part of the Yunus Brothers Group, has launched the Lucky Islamic Pension Fund (LIPF), a Shariah-compliant retirement savings option aimed at providing individuals with a means to achieve long-term financial security through ethical investing.
This new initiative marks a significant step in the expansion of Pakistan’s Islamic finance sector and aligns with the government’s goal of transitioning the national financial system to Shariah-compliant practices by 2028. The fund is designed to offer responsible investment options that adhere to Islamic principles while delivering financial performance.
The Lucky Islamic Pension Fund allows individuals to save for retirement in a manner consistent with their beliefs. It will invest in Shariah-compliant equities, Sukuk, Islamic money market instruments, and other approved avenues, balancing growth potential with capital preservation.
Mohammad Shoaib, CFA, CEO of Lucky Investments, emphasized the fund’s role in planning for retirement with dignity. He described it as a commitment to growing life savings responsibly and transparently, aligned with personal values.
The initiative reflects Lucky Investments’ vision of ethical wealth building. Shoaib highlighted the fund’s goal to serve people across different life stages, including young professionals, entrepreneurs, and salaried individuals, seeking to manage their future finances.
LIPF will offer four sub-funds—Equity, Debt, Money Market, and Gold—allowing participants to tailor their portfolios according to risk tolerance and retirement plans. Qualified professionals will manage investments, with oversight from Shariah Advisor Mufti Muhammad Hassaan Kaleem.
