Malaysian Representative Briefed on Kashmir Human Rights Issues

Islamabad: A delegation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has informed Mohammad Azmi Abdul Hamid, the President of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM), about ongoing human rights concerns in the region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the delegation was led by Hurriyat leader Altaf Hussain Wani and included members Advocate Parvaiz Ahmed, Shameem Shawl, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, and Sheikh Abdul Mateen. They discussed with the Malaysian representatives the serious human rights issues prevailing in the area.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted issues such as custodial killings, demographic changes, and systematic violations allegedly committed by Indian forces in IIOJK. They stressed that these actions present a severe human rights challenge.

Additionally, the delegation pointed out that the Indian government’s narrative of normalcy in IIOJK is misleading and intended to deceive the international community about the true situation on the ground.
