Managing Director Karachi Water Sewerage Board directs officers to ensure that deficit in revenue for year 2012-13 is covered in next fiscal year

Karachi, July 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): Managing Director Karachi Water and Sewerage Board Misbahuddin Farid has directed Deputy Managing Director Revenue, All Directors and Deputy Directors to ensure that deficit in the revenue for year 2012-2013 is covered in next fiscal year to ensure that KW and SB stabilizes financially.

Revenue Department is backbone of any institution and it is vital that officers of KW and SB work hard with honesty and play their part in economic stability of the institution, Farid added. There is huge margin of increase in revenue and Directors, Deputy Directors must coordinate with their Inspectors and enquire about their progress.

Directors and Deputy Directors must carry out visits of their concerned zones and pay special attention to the total number of Tax Units in their areas. They must ensure that officers distribute KW and SB bills in the areas where the payment ratio is low or nill. Officers must change their field work timings in Ramzan to after iftar and ensure that all tasks are performed properly, stated M.D KW and SB.

He said that KW and SB is a public services institution and it is our job to facilitate citizens. He asked officers and of KW and SB to bring those consumers on tax net who are not currently registered on the net. He directed that officers and staff must ensure full attendance during Ramazan.

Farid requested citizens of Karachi to pay their bills in order to help KW and SB serve them better. He said that KW and SB is providing these facilities on very low charges and we can improve the services if citizens understand their duty and pay their bills on time.
