Maple Leaf Cement Factory Introduces Electronic Voting and Postal Ballot for Special Business

Karachi, Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited has announced the implementation of electronic voting and postal ballot procedures for its upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting. The decision comes in compliance with the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulations, 2018, amended through a notification issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on December 05, 2022.

As per the SECP’s directive, all listed companies are required to provide their members with the right to vote through electronic voting facilities and voting by post for businesses classified as special business.

In line with this, the members of Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited will now have the option to exercise their voting rights through the electronic voting facility or voting by post during the forthcoming Extraordinary General Meeting scheduled for June 20, 2023.

These new voting methods aim to enhance member participation and ensure a convenient and efficient voting process. The implementation of electronic voting and postal ballot procedures aligns with the regulations specified by the SECP and facilitates members in casting their votes for special business matters.

The detailed requirements and conditions for utilizing the electronic voting facility and casting votes through postal ballot will be provided to the members of Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited.
