Karachi, June 13, 2023 (PPI-OT): Governor of Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori was met by Marino Fardelli, the Ombudsman of Italy’s Lazio Region, at the governor’s house. It should be noted that Marino Fardelli is also the President of the National Liaison of the Ombudsman Institutions of Italy. Italian Consul General Danilo Giurdanella and Provincial Ombudsman Ejaz Ali Khan were also present on this occasion. In the meeting, the role of the ombudsman institution in redressal of public complaints, its importance in providing cheap justice to the people, the need for mutual cooperation of the ombudsman institutions and other issues were discussed.
Governor Sandhu said that the ombudsman institutions Due to the fact that the common man is getting help in redressal of grievances, it is also improving the performance of the government institutions. He further said that the institution of provincial ombudsman is also playing a significant role in this regard. After the meeting, Marino Fardelli also invited Sindh Governor to participate in the Ombudsman’s conference in September.
The delegation was made to visit the historical room of the Father of the Nation in the Governor House and informed about the items used by the Father of the Nation. Later, the Governor of Sindh told the delegation about the bell of hope installed outside the Governor’s House that by ringing this bell, the people who are suffering from difficulties approach from 12:00 pm to 8:00 am, whose problem is solved immediately by installing this bell. The aim is to provide relief to the people who are surrounded by difficulties at night when everyone sleeps. Marino Fardelli praised this initiative of the Governor of Sindh and called it an important step towards solving the problems of the people.
