Martyrdom Anniversary of Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Commemorated

Islamabad: The fifty-fourth martyrdom anniversary of Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas (Nishan-e-Haider) was observed on Wednesday. On this day in 1971, Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas displayed extraordinary resolve and selflessness, embracing martyrdom to safeguard the sovereignty of Pakistan. His indomitable spirit, loyalty, and patriotism remain an enduring source of inspiration for the Armed Forces and the nation.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and other Services Chiefs, together with the Armed Forces of Pakistan, have paid tribute to Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas, whose supreme sacrifice epitomizes the highest traditions of courage and devotion to duty. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also offered tributes to Rashid Minhas on his 54th martyrdom anniversary.

In his message on the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Rashid Minhas’s great sacrifice is a manifestation of the highest traditions of courage and dedication to duty. He emphasized that Rashid Minhas’s unparalleled passion, loyalty, and patriotism are a lasting inspiration to the armed forces and the nation. The Prime Minister affirmed that Rashid Minhas’s name will always be remembered in the nation’s history as a symbol of loyalty, courage, and pride.
